The neatest thing to see is Ita Fort, a fortress from the 14th or 15th century. Ita is the local word for brick and Ita is also the name of this city because this fort was built of brick.
There are other things to see in Itanagar as well, like the Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum which has all the tribes on display and shows how culturally rich the state is, Ganga Lake-Gyakar Sinyi, a very beautiful and peaceful lake with boating, and the nearby Gompa Buddhist Temple that has a nice view of the city and the hills around.
